5 Ways to Make Your Smile Brighter

Acorn Dental Health • 1 June 2021

Are you unhappy with your smile? If so, you’re not alone, but there’s no need to stay unhappy with it. In fact, a good dentist can help you smile brighter and more often. If you’re ashamed of what your teeth look like, don’t go another day without learning how to fix that.

1. Whiten Your Teeth

Teeth whitening can help get rid of those unpleasant stains that tend to occur as you get older. Whether the enamel is yellowing due to tobacco use, wine and coffee drinking, or simply poor hygiene, you can get that glow back with whitening treatments. These are not for everyone, but your dentist will let you know if whitening is a good choice for you.

2. Add Porcelain Veneers

For those who have gaps between teeth or cracked and stained teeth, it can be embarrassing to show your smile. Fortunately, there’s a very good solution for this. You just need to have veneers added to your teeth. This makes them look more uniform, covers any imperfections, and ensures all your teeth are the same colour. Veneers are a good way to make your teeth look natural.

3. Straighten Your Teeth

Just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean it’s too late to have your teeth straightened. In fact, now that you’ve finished growing, it’s a great time to use braces to give your smile that neat and tidy look. Invisalign braces are just one type of brace that can help straighten out crooked teeth without making it obvious that you’re using braces. The results are amazing and you’ll feel more confident when the treatment is finished.

4. Replace Missing Teeth

Do you have missing teeth that are obvious when you smile and show your teeth? This can bother a lot of people, but you may be pleased to learn that there is actually a solution for this. More than one solution, really. You can have dentures put in if you’re missing multiple teeth and this gives you a better chewing surface and looks natural. However, if you just have one or two teeth missing, you may opt for an implant, which looks and acts just like a regular tooth.

5. Remove Silver Fillings

Do you have older fillings that are quite dark and show up when you smile? For some time, these metallic fillings were the best option, but they aren’t the best to look at, particularly when in front teeth. You can eliminate these, however, and replace them with white fillings that will blend right into your teeth, instantly giving you a better looking smile.

There are plenty of things your dentist can do to improve your teeth and there’s no reason not to take steps toward a better smile. Ready to get started? Contact Acorn Dental Health to learn how we can make your smile brighter.
