What Dental Procedure is right for you?

Acorn Dental Health • 13 October 2021

In this day and age sometimes it’s hard to know which dental procedure is right for you. Here at Acorn Dental Health, we offer a range of dental treatments to help restore and improve the look and health of your teeth.

Keep reading to find out which treatment would work best for you and get in touch to book a consultation.

Crowns & Veneers

The difference between a crown and veneer is the amount of tooth structure required when considering the procedure. Crowns act as a protective cover for a damaged or filled tooth, providing support while restoring its appearance. Our crowns improve the function and durability of your tooth and we take great care to ensure your new crowns complement the natural colour and appear exactly like your natural teeth.

The difference in a veneer is that it only covers the front surface of a tooth, while a crown covers the whole surface area. We offer custom-made veneers that are primarily used to cover small gaps and hide imperfections, such as chipping, stains and cracks in your teeth. This personalisation will allow you to achieve a natural-looking result. They cannot structurally repair whole teeth but are incredibly durable and will last between 10-15 years.

If you’re still wondering which option would be best, crowns are used more regularly to fix cracks and worn teeth while veneers are more popular for cosmetic improvements.

Cosmetic Treatments

If you think your smile is marred by broken, chipped or discoloured teeth, we offer a range of cosmetic dentistry treatments to stop you from hiding your smile away. One of our most popular services is Invisalign, offering a removable teeth straightening system that uses aligners to exert pressure on your teeth, while being aesthetically discreet and easy to remove. We also offer a variety of brace options if this is your preferred method.

We also provide a selection of cosmetic treatments to help our clients achieve younger-looking skin, such as dermal fillers. These can be used to combat forehead wrinkles, lip lines, crow’s feet and acne pits, providing solutions from ageing, frowning and sun damage.

Dental Implants

At Acorn Dental Health, we offer a range of dental implant types depending on your unique requirements, ranging from a single dental implant to full mouth restoration. Losing a tooth due to decay, disease or another reason can gradually weaken your jaw bone, decreasing its density and could lead to other oral health issues. By having a dental implant procedure, the jaw bone is given the chance to grow around an artificial tooth root which will protect your jaw from further damage. From here a crown can be anchored to this root to function and look just as the original tooth did and reduce the chances of further decay.

Here at Acorn Dental Health, we have a team of four friendly and highly qualified dentists along with a support staff trained to answer any queries you may have. We offer a range of professional and high-standard services from regular check-ups to a range of dental treatments. For a dental treatment assessment, contact our team in Hedge Fund now.
